Who is Renáe Rashael?

Many people expect to hear that Renáe Rashael is the name of the main photographer, but that isn't quite the case. Her name is actually Monique. At the time of her birth her parents could not decide on a middle name so they opted not to give her one. After getting married, she figured, why not give herself one? She began using Renáe as her middle name over 15 years ago and finally had it legally changed in 2010. In 2012, illness forced her to put her camera down while she worked on getting healthy. While she isn't out taking pictures, she remains an intricate part of this company.

When we were choosing a name for this company, we didn't want to go with the standard first and last name. But, wanted to keep it personal, so we ended up going with Monique's middle name as well as the middle name of a very close friend.

However, Renáe Rashael Photography is not just Monique. There's Kevin Matthew who is the main photographer and marketing genius, as well as a staff of amazing people who without we would be kind of lost.

Together we believe that there is more to taking photos than just clicking a button, which is why we focus on building a lasting relationship with you. There is no better way to take amazing photographs than to know exactly what you are looking for and what you are all about.

Our mission is to “wow” you; making you laugh, and yes, even sometimes make you cry. We want to give you a gift that you are proud to have and something that you will be eager to show off to friends and family for years to come! That's what keeps us motivated and that's what we strive to do each and every time.

When Love Takes Over | Mckinney Engagement Photographer

We had the absolute pleasure of spending a Friday evening with Tara and Vinnie for what was supposed to be a simple engagement photo shoot. Of course, anytime we think simple, it is anything but. A storm was making its way to the area and the wind gusts were at about 60 mph. Throw in a flat tire, a stray dog that was obsessed with us all and our original location being “renovated”, this shoot was anything but ordinary.

This couple is the perfect example of opposites complementing each other. However, they do share a mutual love for baseball that is only spoiled by their choice of rival teams. Tara is a Rangers fan, Vinnie is a diehard Yankees guy.

And while Vinnie’s love of baseball is evident, not as much as his genuine love for the bride-to-be. Tara is so sweet and easy to get along with you feel like you have known her forever. Their affection for each other is clear, and together they make a fantastic couple. We are looking forward to chronicling their journey into matrimony and continuing their story as they grow into a family.
